Simone Granison

My name is Simone Granison, and I am a K-6 licensed educator in the state of Pennsylvania. I also am an educational leader and hold a K-12 principal’s license. I am an alum of Kutztown University, where I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science, and Cedar Crest College, where I obtained my Master’s in Education. I attend Wilkes University, where I complete my principal license program in July of 2022. Needless to say, you can see that becoming a lifelong learner is essential to me. I am a goal-oriented person and enjoy planning out steps to achieve an ultimate end result. Setting and working towards goals is a trait that I utilize in both my career and personal life. Running, spending time with loved ones, and reading are things I enjoy greatly.

Being an educator has taught me many lessons. The one thing that sticks with me, is the fact that all people need inspiration and motivation along their path of greatness. Regardless if you’re a student or colleague of mine, you can count on me to cheer you to the finish line of whatever goal you set forth to accomplish.

In my opinion an educator does more than teach. An educator has a passion for leading. Having the innate ability to lead, motivate, and inspire makes me who I am. I choose to use my skills to empower our communities through education!

Philosophy

All teachers and students have the ability to become lifelong learners regardless of race, culture, socioeconomic status, and family history. As a leader and educator, it is my responsibility to motivate and build confidence in order to help individuals find their inner strengths while providing guidance in utilizing their skills in a positive way.

Created, planned, and implemented a yearly school-wide science fair for Zephyr elementary school. Caught in the lead teachers in district why technology professional development opportunities. Brought girls on the run to two elementary schools, and implemented the program through coaching.

Leads with positive reinforcement strategies to motivate and excite students and teachers throughout the learning process.
